FASTENERS

ANY TYPE / STYLE  FASTENER CAN BE USED.   CARE MUST BE TAKEN TO CHOSE A FASTENER WHICH IS COMPATIBLE IN MATERIAL TO THE GUTTER MATERIAL.    FOR RUST PROTECTION USE STAINLESS STEEL OR A FASTENER WITH A QUALITY RUST PROTECTION COATING.          

FASTENER HEAD SIZE AND SHAPE SHOULD BE CONSIDERED.  CHOOSE A FASTENER THAT WILL  NOT CATCH OR ENSNARL LEAFS & DEBRIS AND HAS A SHAFT THICKNESS COMPARABLE TO THE GUARD FASTENER HOLES WIDTH

100 Fasteners:  #4 x 3/8",  round head,  #1 phillips, zinc coated  ARE INCLUDED WITH FULL BOX ORDERS (1 box holds 30-36" guard sections)

   This size fastener closely matches the guards bar size and 
   upholds the smooth surface characteristics of our Guard.

Pre-drilled holes are provided along the front edge of the RAINDROP guard for securing the guard to the gutters front edge.   All holes do not need to be used.

Three fasteners are need in a full section of guard.  
   - One fasteners in the center or middle hole of the guard. 
       This fastener secured snug but be cautious not to over
       tighten.
   - The other two are placed at each end.  These holes are 
       oval shaped and the fasteners should be placed in the
       center of the oval. Do not overtighten these end fastener
       so the guard can move freely should it need to expand or
       contract.

Remaining Pre-drilled holes are to be utilized when a guard section is cut down in length or to aid in straightening an existing gutter edge.
 
    Note: A minimum of one fastener is needed in any guard
            section that has been cut to length or shortened
            below a full section length.
